We presented our flood monitoring approach and an early platform prototype at a specialist conference on flood protection and heavy rainfall preparedness.
We had the opportunity to take part in the specialist conference “Flood Protection and Heavy Rainfall Preparedness”, held at Schloss Ovelgönne in Bad Oeynhausen. The event brought together operators, municipalities, engineers, and system integrators working on practical solutions for flood risk management.
We would like to thank BWK-NRW for the excellent organization and for creating a setting that encouraged open, technically grounded exchange.
During the conference, we presented our approach to flood monitoring and shared an early prototype of our platform, designed to support operational decision-making through reliable data acquisition and clear visualization.
The discussions highlighted the importance of practical, field-tested monitoring solutions that can be integrated into existing infrastructures and workflows. Many conversations focused on real-world constraints, data reliability, and systems that remain usable under challenging operational conditions.
